‘Hoppy’ didnt teach me and I didnt know him all that well but on A level results day he came into the pub I was in, gave me a talking to, made me ring my Uni there and then and had me a place at my first choice Uni by lunchtime. I get the sense that was run of the mill for him, just another little moment but it made a big difference to me and Ill always be grateful he took the time. RIP.
