Mr Hop was one of those teachers whose lessons I always looked forward to. He was fun, knowledgeable and most importantly a really nice man. You wanted to respect him and he got the best out of you even if that involved a difficult conversation now and again about the choices you were making. Conversations about football and Blackburn Rovers (Patrick Valery was discussed a lot in our lessons!) were never far away and often interacted with discussions about Michael Foot or Mrs Thatcher. His boys were a credit to him and they can be rightly proud of a really top man. Thanks for the memories Mr Hop. You will be missed by many.
